It seems like the year has flown by. I hope it has been a good one for you.
As the end of 2019 approaches, you may be making plans for the coming year and thinking about what the new year will bring for you and your home.
You may, for example, be thinking of doing some renovations or redecorating. You may even be considering making a move in 2020, or at least exploring the possibility.
No matter what you’re planning, it’s not too soon to take some initial steps.
In fact, if you’re considering looking for a new home in the spring, this is the ideal time to start doing some preliminary work - such as determining the market value of your current property, getting a prearranged mortgage and identifying neighbourhoods you’d like to consider.
Spring can be a very busy time in the real estate industry, so the relative calm of November and December can be the perfect time to get some plans in place.
Market Stats: 14% increase in sale - 8,491 in October 2019 versus 7,448 in October 2018. New listings are down 9.6%. Average pricing is up 5.5% from October 2018 for all homes types.
I expect sale prices to continue to grow and rental markets to tighten and more aggressive bidding next year as inventory and new housing are limited and demand is increasing and immigration numbers are slated to increase.
Foodie Tip: One benefit of a referral based business is that my clients take me all over the GTA and I always love to explore new restaurants. In Brampton, I checked out: Mirch Masala Authentic Indian Restaurant - 263 Queen St. E, Brampton - Great food! Sizzler plate was amazing. Lamb roganjosh was super tender. Paneer tikka masala was on point..and everything is spicy!
